... or is ordering a case from Ameritage like pulling teeth??? Maybe I don't order enough for them to bother with me, but I've gotten the run around from them every time I've tried to place an order. I need these custom cases soon, and have had several email exchanges with Nancy, and they have my patterns on hand. But now that I'm ready to order, she won't respond to emails. What gives? I get a fairly prompt response from Nancy initially, each time......but all in all it's a slow movin train there. They get your pattern (here in the States), then they have to connect with Nancy in S. America, then she sends you an invoice...then , it's 7 weeks minimum. I plan ahead to account. This is how it has gone for me in recent years....except fpt the time Nancy hurt herself in some way....and the order just went dead mid-process. That one took 5 months. |

Not just you Ken, I had one of the very worst customer experiences of my entire life with Ameritage..... Here's a link to the post that I made on the ANZLF about my experiences.... http://www.anzlf.com/viewtopic.php?t=1973 I'll add that these cases weigh a ton and can be problematic, the weight, depending on who's schlepping the stinkin thing.... IIRC the cases can weigh four times or more what one of my guitars weigh..... |

I've had nothing but great experiences with them... but I expect a custom case to take a good while. I like the fact that they are as solid and heavy as they are, and have never had any quality issues. |

I have always had good dealings with them. They worked with me to get my custom embroidered logo just right without any problems. It does take time....But they have been faster than the lead times quoted me by Cedar Creek. |

Well, after a nasty email, saying, basically, please have the courtesy to at least tell me you don't want my business, yadda-yadda... I promptly got a response from Nancy -- no apology, mind you, saying we need to process an invoice asap. I responded immediately saying yes, please invoice me. That was yesterday morning. Nothing but good experiences for me with Ameritage custom cases. Not fast, but reliable. My nightmares with cases were with Cedar Creek, though they seem to have improved the last two custom orders from them. Pat |
